If you or anyone you know can help with even a 100.00 donation It would mean a lot to me because Jim and I have written a lot of these letters over the years on behalf of other people and we are glad to say our efforts have had an impact on so many wonderful causes. Of course, it is easy to write the letter for others, but it is hard to do it for yourself unless it is for an organization and cause that you feel passionate about which is why Jim and I have accepted an invitation from the Concern Foundation for cancer research to be their 2010 honorees. For over 42 years, Concern has raised over $42 million, with 95% of such being granted directly to over 550 cancer researchers around the world. Their mission is to put an end to cancer once and for all and we are both dedicated to do all we can to help them fulfill their mission and conquer this horrible disease.
Cancer took the life of my mom in 2006 which was way too soon. She was loved by not only her family but by her patients who she dedicated her life to helping. In her honor and in her memory a special section of the tribute book for Jim and I will be dedicated to her. I am reaching out to you in hopes that you will join me in honoring the memory of my mother by placing a special tribute in the tribute journal. Concern has been recognized as one of the leaders at the forefront of raising monies and funding so many researchers around the world. We ask for your support for those like my mom who are afflicted with some form of cancer or have lost their courageous battle.
Your reward for joining in our efforts first and foremost comes from knowing that you are truly making a difference in the war on cancer. Our efforts will allow those afflicted with all forms of cancer to see longer and longer survival rates, new early detection protocols, better treatment options and the hope that they can one day be "cured" and cancer eliminated. To see what the Concern Block Party is all about or to learn more about this incredible organization please visit their website at www.concernfoundation.org.
I really appreciate your support. It means a lot to me to help honor my mom's memory, the researchers, and all those now and in the future who will benefit from all our efforts in helping to CONquer CanCER Now.
Sincerely,
Ishita
