The oceanfront Malibu, Calif. house that once belonged to the late actor Michael Landon of "Little House on the Prairie" has quietly sold for $22,750,000, according to public records. In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report that the 6,913-square-foot house, at 23324 Malibu Colony Road, has sold to an unidentified land trust. Beverly Hills money manager Michael Klein, who purchased the house in 1999 for an undisclosed amount, first listed it in early 2005 for $28 million. Klein told the Wall Street Journal at that time that he 19d spent $2 million on renovations. The five-bedroom house, which Landon built in 1980, has seven baths and just over 70 feet of ocean frontage, according to public records. In 1989, just two years before dying of cancer at the age of 54, Landon sold the house for about $6 million to movie producer Ted Field, who later nearly razed and rebuilt. Landon then moved to a house that he built in a Malibu canyon. Landon told the Los Angeles Times in 1990 that he didn 19t miss the beachfront house at all: "Oh, no, miss all those people poking their noses in my windows? No. And this (new) place is great for the kids too." Field sold the house in 1991 for about $8 million, the Times later reported.
